Former Municipal Waste drummer and prolific punk rocker Brandon Ferrell has passed away.

The seminal thrash outfit confirmed the news on Facebook, saying they were “confused and heart broken”.

“Thank you Brandon Ferrell for everything you have contributed to this band not only musically but as a friend and a brother,” the post said.

The multi-instrumentalist joined the band shortly after they formed, drumming for them from 2002 – 2004 and appearing on their debut record, Waste ‘Em All, as well as starting his own imprint, No Way Records and performing with Direct Control, Government Warning and Wasted Time, just to name a few.
