We'll be live from the event on Periscope and Twitter tonight!
Mere hours remain until the 2016 APRA Music Awards get under way in Sydney, with a ream of A-list Aussie performers up for prizes including the likes of Sia, Jarryd James, Birds Of Tokyo and more.
Kicking off from 6pm tonight live from CarriageWorks, The Music is stoked to announce that we'll be hosting a live Twitter takeover from Eskimo Joe frontman Kav Temperley as he broadcasts on Periscope from the event and trots out his thoughts and insights 140 characters at a time during the ceremony.
Being a part of the takeover is easy — make sure you're following The Music on Twitter and have access to Periscope either via the app (available free on iTunes and Google Play) or, if you're not on a mobile device, keep an eye on our tweet stream for the unique browser link once the broadcast goes live. If you're not sure what to be looking out for, check out our Periscope with Sticky Fingers from earlier today for an example.
Tonight's prizegiving will yield new crowns for coveted categories such as Song Of The Year, Most Played Australian Work, International Work Of The Year, and more. RocKwiz vet Brian Nankervis will host the event, with curation of the evening's performances — featuring acts such as Urthboy (with Kira Piru and Bertie Blackman), The Delta Riggs, D.I.G. (with Ngaiire), Gang Of Youths and Montaigne, San Cisco and Guy Sebastian and The Living End — courtesy of Robert Conley.
