Flume's forthcoming record, 'Palaces' is set to drop on May 20.
Australian dance icon Flume has today returned, announcing his first official album since his 2016 Skin and first project since his 2019 mixtape Hi This Is Flume.
It comes in the form of Palace which is set to release on May 20. The record was written in Australia, inspired by the natural wonders of coastal New South Wales, and features an impressive roster of guests, including Damon Albarn, Caroline Polachek, Oklou and more.
Alongside the announcement, he's released new single Say Nothing featuring 2021 breakthrough artist MAY-A. Sonically the track picks up where Flume left off, delivering another glitchy, synth-driven emotive banger.
“This song is about feelings of post relationship clarity,” Flume said in a statement.
“We wrote the song midway through 2020 while the pandemic was still pretty new. I was really excited about the initial idea but it was only once I got back to Australia in early 2021 and linked up in the studio with MAY-A that the song really came to life.”
