"When it’s reduced to your sex scenes, or to watch the most famous man in the world go down on someone, it’s not why we do it. It’s not why I’m in this industry. Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you’re going to have conversations like that. That’s just not what I’m going to be discussing because [this movie is] bigger and better than that. And the people who made it are bigger and better than that."
Florence Pugh has revealed that she will not be discussing the sex scenes between herself and Harry Styles in the upcoming film Don't Worry Darling.
The Black Widow, Midsommar, and Little Women actress stars in the highly anticipated, Olivia Wilde-directed film. Don't Worry Darling sees Pugh cast opposite Styles as one half of a 1950s couple living a seemingly idyllic life before things start to get really creepy. The first trailer offers up a lot of room for discussion, but Pugh has grown tired of the media's fixation on the sex scenes between herself and Styles, which in her view is all anyone seems to want to focus on. Speaking to Harpers Bazaar, Pugh let her thoughts on that fixation known.

Despite her frustration with the public and the media's fixation on the sex scenes, and a reportedly icy relationship with Wilde, Pugh did take a moment to shout out some underappreciated crew members and the COVID nurses who arrived early every day to ensure filming could take place.
“If I shout about one thing,” she says, “it’s that these people made that movie happen. They came to work every day on time and fully respected the process.”

Pugh also admits during the interview that she has not yet seen the completed film.
Wilde for her part has stated that she wanted the film's audience to "realize how rarely they see female hunger, and specifically this type of female pleasure" in film.
Styles, who was recently nominated for the 2022 Mercury prize for music has not yet commented publicly on the matter.
