Elton John and Kanye headline, but some great Aussie get a look in too.
Five Aussies have been announced to play this year's mammoth Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee, with a mix of talent from throughout the years announced alongside some bona-fide megastars in the world of rock, pop and hip hop.
The legendary Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will appear at the event, as will Melbourne electro masters Cut Copy and the John Butler Trio, who are very popular among the US jam band scene, which makes up a sizable chunk of the Bonnaroo crowd each year.
Joining them will be a couple of young acts who have dominated Australia and have their sights set high in Hottest 100 winner Vance Joy and the very likable The Preatures. Also on the bill is New Zealand's The Naked & Famous.
Headlining the event this year is legendary performer Elton John, in his first ever American festival appearance, recently announced Aussie visitor Kanye West and rock'n'roll renaissance man Jack White. The bill is one of the few major American festivals to not feature the recently reinvigorated OutKast.
