The time has come for cultural and music event favourite Brunswick Music Festival to reveal its first round of acts for 2014.

While there will be a major announcement early in the new year, we think these names will be enough to get wannabe festival-goers excited about the 26th instalment of the event. Here they are:

Alaska String Band, Altan, Antonio Serrano, Breabach, Funny Folk featuring Kransky Sisters and Mic Conway's National Junk Band, Hanggai, Louis McManus Memorial Concert with The Purple Dentists and guests, The Tiger Lillies

In other news for the festival, arts and event company Strut & Fret Production House will now run the event after the retirement of John McAuslan and his Across The Borders team.
