With promises of more EP details coming soon!
West Australian expats and Melburnian adoptees Split Seconds have finally come up for air following an dedicated period in the studio working on their next EP to announce they’ll be hitting the road in early August.
The run of shows will see the southern upstarts on stages alongside Eskimo Joe’s Kav Temperley, fellow moving/shaking WA outfit Emperors (who are on a headline tour themselves at the same time) and deceptively named Melburnian four-piece I, A Man.
They kick things off with support from Temperley at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on August 1 (and again in Geelong on August 3), and join the Emperors jaunt for one night at the Grace Darling on August 2.
The final two shows on their run go down in Sydney on August 15 with I, A Man, and Melbourne once more, on the 16th, at Gasometer, again with I, A Man and joined by the esteemed Babaganouj.

Split Seconds are riding hot on the success of their most recent single, Halfway There, which features the dulcet guest strains of Kathryn Rollins and has been doing solid rounds on the airwaves.
If you’re not yet acquainted with the band’s modus operandi, wrap your ears around the driven jangle-jive and juxtaposition of male tenor and sultry, low-register lady vocals of the sincerely sublime track below:
Tasty, right? Yeah, it is. See the Gig Guide, below, or The Music App, for more venue, date and ticketing information to catch Split Seconds in the flesh.
