Howells has teamed up with 123 Agency
Triple J presenter and DJ Sarah Howells has signed a new booking deal with Victoria-based company 123 Agency.
The deal will see the agency handle Howells' local shows, including a just announced gig at Adelaide's Russell's Pizza in January as part of the Mollusc Jamboree event. The DJ will perform alongside all-rounders Bobby Alu and Nick Saxon at the all-ages event, which takes place on Sunday 11 January from 3 to 9pm.
A curator residency at new Brisbane venue The Triffid has also been locked in for Howells. She will appear at the venue every Sunday from 2 to 8pm.
Howells, who presents the Roots N All segment on triple j, said she was "super excited" about the 123 deal.
"I've been DJing for quite a while now, but having these legends on my team is the next step. Can't wait! It's gonna be fun!"
123's Regan Lethbridge, also a member of soulful rock outfit Bonjah said: "We are thrilled to have Sarah join the 123 Agency family, we admire what she does on triple j & the DJ world , she has awesome taste in music we are stoked to have the opportunity to look after her bookings in 2015."
Other artists on the 123 roster include Kingswood, The Delta Riggs, Stonefield and Ngaiire. Recent signings have included SA artist Timberwolf and Melbourne producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Spender.
The agency was launched in 2013 by former Premier Artists agent Damian Costin.
