EXCLUSIVE: Tom Ballard Weighs In On Tracy Morgan Sexism Row

Comedian and triple j breakfast presenter Tom Ballard has sided with 30 Rock actor and comedian over allegations from feminist groups that his stand-up routine is 'sexist hate speech'.

Morgan attracted the ire of fans at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival last week, with fans allegedly storming out and berating the American actor on social media, before he told an audience in Perth “Go home and blog some shit 'cause you ain't gettin' any… I don't give a fuck what you think.”

In his intro essay for The Drum Media's upcoming comedy festival guide, Aussie Ballard echoes the sentiment.

“If you saw Tracy Morgan's show without researching his work at all and you were offended and called in to talkback radio to complain and you feel like you deserve a refund, please write a letter explaining your situation to Go Fuck Yourself, PO Box You're A Dickhead.”

In his address he gives some other advice to punters as well: “Just PLEASE make sure you read your ticket carefully: don't think you're heading to Jim Jeffries then walk into Possum Magic Live and start heckling because Grandma Poss hasn't said 'cunt' once.”
