Look, it's not exactly a surprise to hear that Texan bluesman Eugene “Hideaway” Bridges is on his way back to Australia later this month for a massive run of shows in all manner of different places around Australia. For the past 15 years he has been coming to our country every single year – sometimes more than once – to treat us to his brand of cool electric blues.
He is back just in time to ring in the New Year, which he'll do in Western Australia, and he'll then spend all of January and February (and a little bit of March) in our country playing shows to the solid fan base he has amassed after all these recent visits.
All up Bridges will be playing over 15 shows (the exact number will depend on the Tamworth Country Music Festival commitments he makes) which will see him playing tracks from his new LP Roots & Vines as well as tracks from throughout his acclaimed career.
