Gold Coast-based deathcore outfit, Enfield, announced their new vocalist earlier this week.

The new vocalist that will replace Aidan Ellaz (who left the band a few months back) for the now-quintet is the actually groups guitarist, Luke Gilroy.

The band wrote this on their social media regarding Gilroy's switch to the vocal position.

"So, finally, the moment you've all been waiting for has arrived. This will come as a surprise to some and not to others that we've decided it is in the band's best interests for Luke to make the switch from his previous position on the stringplank to being our full-time vocalist and the (not so) new frontman of Enfield and for the band to continue on as a 5 piece with Ben and Caleb handling guitars.

We're confident in his ability to fill this role in our lineup and he did a you-beaut' job on our NSW run last week. Here's to hoping you guys dig the change as much as we do."

The progressive deathcore act released their single, 'Lyssa' and it's accompanying music video earlier this year.
