Empire Of The Sun Debut In US Top 20

The Aussies' second LP has made waves Stateside.

More Empire Of The Sun Empire Of The Sun Profile

The latest LP from Australian electro-pop duo Empire Of The Sun, Ice On The Dune, has debuted on the Billboard 200 Album Charts in 20th position this week.

The album, which debuted in third position on the ARIA album charts this week, is the follow up to the band's hugely successful Walking On A Dream LP of 2008, which didn't sell all that strongly in the US but cemented their position as an unmissable live act, and the burgeoning popularity of that record has undoubtedly helped the band debut strongly Stateside this time around.

Ice On The Dune's release comes on the back of a heap of US festival and headlining shows, including much lauded appearance at the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee.

The band are expected to have another strong week on the ARIA charts when figures are released tomorrow.
