Will Yeezus Top The Charts Again?

Kanye ended up number one last week, but can he keep it up?

After one of the most fascinating weeks in ARIA Chart history, it looks like Kanye West is a chance of securing a second week in the top spot of the ARIA Charts, though we must remember the power of The Voice before declaring him a sure thing for number one.

Yes, it's the week that the winner of the TV singing competition – this year Harrison Craig – releases their winner's album, which tends to top the charts no matter what. But after Craig failed to score a number one on the single chart after winning the competition last week, it will be interesting to see if his fans will show their support at the checkout and make the no-doubt arduous process of making his album worthwhile.

Plenty of familiar records will remain on the pointy end of the chart; Daft Punk's Random Access Memories, The Great Gatsby OST and the controversially almost previous number one album Troy Cassar-Daley and Adam Harvey collaboration The Great Country Songbook all look to be doing pretty well.

A few new releases will be looking to debut strongly on the album charts this week with Fat Freddy's Drop's Blackbird, J. Cole's Born Sinner and Falling In Reverse's Fashionably Late all selling very strongly in their first few days of release.

Timomatic (Parachute), Avicii (Wake Me Up) and the recently announced to be touring, Bastille (Pompeii) will try their damnedest to get Robin Thicke off the top of the singles charts, where he has sat for seven weeks so far. And let's not forget  the mighty P!nk, who has just kicked off her massive Aussie tour and has just dropped a new single called True Love.

Vance Joy has threatened to do some chart damage for weeks now, on this week's figures it looks like he might finally break through with Riptide. Also, New Zealand young gun Lorde should be back in the charts with her The Love Club EP as well as her new single Tennis Court.
