Empire Of The Sun Celebrate Ten Years Of 'Walking On A Dream' With Vinyl Release & New Track

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of their hit debut album, Walking On A Dream, Empire Of The Sun have today announced a limited edition vinyl release of the record, as well as a previously-unreleased track. 

Due out on 1 February, the release includes a "gatefold, 180 gram heavyweight vinyl of Walking On A Dream on transparent blood orange vinyl, the original artwork from the initial 2009 vinyl release and a unique code to download the previously-unreleased track Chrysalis".

Following its release, Walking On A Dream won seven ARIA Awards, including Album Of The Year, and was nominated for the International Album gong at the 2010 Brit Awards.

The LP featured a string of the Sydney duo's hit songs including We Are The People, Standing On The Shore, and of course, lead single Walking On A Dream.

After picking up ARIA and APRA Awards, as well as coming in at #4 on the 2008 Hottest 100, Walking On A Dream had a resurgence in 2016 due to being featured in some Honda car commercials in the US.

As well as re-emerging on the US music charts, Luke Steele performed the track on Ellen in 2016.

Empire Of The Sun's last album, Two Vines, dropped in late 2016.
