Embassy Music Publishing Appoints Creative Manager

Programming veteran joins the team.

Music Sales Australia & New Zealand have announced programming veteran Rob Scott as the Creative Manager for its new local publishing entity, Embassy Music Publishing

Scott, the former Promotions Director and Assistant Programme Manager at triple j, will manage all creative services including synchronisation and licensing, songwriter liaison, A&R, music supervision, rights acquisitions and digital distribution.

Scott joins Embassy after setting up his own music publishing company, Source Music, which has worked with a number of big artists including Abbe May, Jen Cloher, Hein Cooper and more.

Under the new arrangement with Music Sales, Scott has signed the sub-publishing of his company to Embassy.

"I am excited to plug the Source repertoire into an international team of music supervisors, licensing specialists and music fans," Scott said. 

"Music Sales has acquired some terrific catalogues over the years and has great respect in the marketplace. I feel very excited to be part of the team and to be in a position to further strengthen my ability to break new artists worldwide."

Speaking on Scott's appointment, Managing Director of Music Sales and Embassy Jane English said, "I have regularly bumped into Rob at music festivals, music conferences and other music events over the years."
