Death Cab spin-off set to play shows again

More The Postal Service More The Postal Service

Los Angeles' The Postal Service have indicated that they'll be reforming in 2013 to coincide with the tenth anniversary re-issue of seminal record Give Up.

Announced via a graphic on the band's website which reads “The Postal Service 2013”, Billboard are reporting that the indie-synth duo have been booked to play Coachella. They also speculate that the band will be looking to play more shows this year, although new material seems unlikely.

Active for just a handful of years at the start of the millennium, they were formed by Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard and Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello. Releasing just the one album – Give Up – through Sub Pop in 2003 it was a cult hit that ended up moving over a million copies around the world.
