"With incredible production and energy, this duo continue to push boundaries and move people with their music."
Electric Fields, the musical project of artist and performer Zaachariaha Fielding and producer-composer Michael Ross have announced the news of their expanded team today, including a global signing to Warner Music Australia and a new management partnership between their current, longterm manager Diana Sautelle and Wonderlick Entertainment.
Of the signing, Dan Rosen, President of WMA, shared, "Signing Electric Fields to WMA is truly a great way to end 2021 and we’re incredibly proud to welcome them to the Warner Music family. With one of Australia's most distinct and unique voices teamed with incredible production and energy, this duo continue to push boundaries and move people with their music."
Alongside the announcement comes the release of their future soul inspired new single, Gold Energy.
With the track, the duo embrace their queerness and share Zaachariaha’s Anangu languages, exploring an energetic sonic shift for the project, one that's rooted in fierce optimism.
Of the release, Fielding shares, “Gold Energy is about the shared spirit between people or animals or any living thing. When you receive that gold energy, you can sit with it and collect its goodness.”. Ross adds: “Whenever Z and I write a song, we always have an idea rooted in philosophy. This song is about stadium-level joy, that feeling in the best times of life: gold energy.”
The band have also announced the details of a Gold Energy Tour, which will see them perform in venues across Melbourne, Hobart, Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin, Fremantle and Adelaide in April and May 2022 alongside bubblegum punk duo, Cry Club.
