Festival organisers have issued a statement.

Organisers of new Aussie hip hop festival Drip World have announced its debut event in 2020 will not be going ahead.

Originally scheduled to go ahead in August, the event was postponed due to visa issues surrounding "key artists" on the line-up and moved to January next year, however those plans have now been scrapped.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances and artist availability, Drip World will not be proceeding in Jan 2020," a statement issued on Facebook reads.

"We have full intentions to deliver our full vision at a later date and deliver the Drip World experience we promised you."
