Drake and 21 Savage are releasing the joint album, Her Loss, this Friday, 28 October.

The album follows the duo's collaboration on the #1 hit, Jimmy Cooks. They used the music video for Jimmy Cooks to announce Her Loss, with text appearing halfway through the video to share that the record is coming.

Drake's most recent release, the surprise album Honestly, Nevermind, came out in June this year. The album was executive produced by Aubrey (Drake) Graham, Noah 40 Shebib, El Khatib, Noel Cadastre and Black Coffee, and is home to the top 20 hits Sticky and Massive; it has been a resounding commercial success.

Honestly, Nevermind received mixed reviews from critics. Drake believes critics of the record don't appreciate dance music

The record came only nine months after his commercial smash record Certified Lover Boy, which featured the likes of Future, Young Thug and Travis Scott. It joins his catalogue of highly esteemed studio albums, including 2013's Nothing Was The Same, 2016's Views and 2018's double album Scorpion.

In August, Drake broke The Beatles' 55-year-old record for holding the most top five hits on the Billboard 100. His feature spot on DJ Khaled's Staying Alive broke into the top five, landing at number five, which gave the Canadian rapper his record-breaking 30th top-five hit.

The new milestone also extended the artist's grip on the records for performing the most top 10, top 20, top 40 and overall Hot 100 entries in the chart's history.

Drake has continued to boycott the Grammys; he hasn't submitted music for consideration for the 2023 awards event.

Her Loss comes after the 21 Savage Metro Boomin collaborative release, Savage Mode II, which Willaris K called one of his favourite albums of 2020 and cited No Opp Left Behind as the best song.
