Double J has jumped on the Oasis celebrations ahead of their first show on their Australian tour tonight.
As presenter and Take 5 host Zan Rowe posted on social media, Double J is celebrating the Britpop icons’ long-awaited return to Australia with three specials.
First, Rowe’s Take 5 with singer-songwriter Noel Gallagher aired at 10 am, followed by a Manchester-themed DESKO at 11 am. The Double J team will then be live from the heart of Melbourne’s CBD—Federation Square—for a Supersonic outdoors broadcast of Oasis bangers. As Rowe notes and Liam Gallagher would say, it’s a BIBLICAL turn of events.
Tune in to Double J for more details and to hear all the Oasis tunes you could ask for.

Oasis will hit the stage at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium at 8:45 pm tonight after a set by local stars Ball Park Music at 7:30 pm. The show marks the band’s first performance Down Under in 20 years.
Oasis and Ball Park Music will perform at Marvel Stadium today, tomorrow (1 November), and on the Melbourne Cup public holiday – Tuesday, 4 November. After their Melbourne shows, the bands will head to Sydney’s Accor Stadium for two nights – Friday, 7 November, and Saturday, 8 November. Due to incredible demand, extra shows were added in both cities.
The lead-up to Oasis’s highly anticipated return to Australia has included interactive events for fans, including an exclusive photography exhibition presented by Behind The Gallery and pop-up stores in Melbourne and Sydney.
The Oasis Australian fan stores opened in Melbourne and Sydney this week, giving fans the opportunity to purchase Live ’25 merchandise in addition to exclusive brand collaborations with Adidas and other fun items. Fans can buy t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, accessories, and more.
Oasis’s Australian tour dates were announced last October. Referencing one of the greatest hits to come out of Australia, the brothers said of their return down under:
People of the land down under.
‘You better run – you better take cover…’
We are coming.
You are most welcome.
