DMA's Announce Second Melbourne, Sydney Shows

13 August 2014 | 2:18 pm | Staff Writer

Get in quick, because these things are selling like hotcakes, back when hotcakes sold well

Unstoppably ascendant Sydney act DMA’s continue on their path of national domination with today’s announcement that the triumphant three-piece has had to add second showings in Sydney and Melbourne to their recently announced Aussie tour this September and October.

To cope with the surplus demand, the band will have added new appearances at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on Saturday, October 4, and at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on October 12. The existing Sydney and Melbourne shows, on October 3 and 11, respectively, have both sold out.

It’s little wonder, too – 2014 has been the year of the unnecessary apostrophe, with DMA’s having chalked up a sold-out east-coast tour earlier this year as well as an appearance at last month’s Splendour In The Grass festival and being named by Dave Rowntree of Blur as an act to keep a steadfast eye upon as they navigate their meteoric rise to the midst of the mainstream consciousness.

No doubt you’ve heard the group’s world-beating Delete by now, but clearly there’s no point that crosses into “too much” territory when it comes to DMA’s, so get it into you, just because:
