Blur's Dave Rowntree Names DMA's' 'Delete' Record Of The Week

The renowned radio DJ and veteran drummer of Britpop icons Blur, Dave Rowntree, has singled out Sydney-bred upstarts DMA's as the creators of his most recent record of the week.

Each week on Brit station XFM, Rowntree digs into the ol' personal catalogue for what's been pleasing his ears lately, with the stalwart musician and presenter saying of the boys' recent track Delete, "This has the swagger of Oasis and the musicality and inventiveness of Arctic Monkeys."

Those are big accolades for the BIGSOUND-bound band, who have been enjoying a steady rise to prominence in the months since the release of their self-titled debut EP, and this endorsement should serve to further solidify DMA's as genuine contenders on the global scene as they progress through the second half of 2014.
