“It’s about being back to ‘square one’, and realising that now the process of figuring out how to move forward begins.”

More DIET. More DIET.

Melbourne outfit DIET are hitting the road this May to celebrate the release of their new cut, What To Do.

The band describes the infectious jangle pop single as “quite pessimistic”, despite its playful melodies and infectious rhythm.

“The track talks about feeling as though you have it all sorted, but then life throws you a swift reminder not to be cocky,” they said.

“It’s about being back to ‘square one’, and realising that now the process of figuring out how to move forward begins.”

On its accompanying music video, they noted: “We wanted the video to capture a specific mood that the song touches on – that is, feeling lost and confused.

"The shaky, dark footage and the quick frames can sometimes be a bit disorienting, but that’s kind of where we want to take the viewer. And if that wasn’t puzzling enough, then my Grandma’s cameo playing each of our instruments throughout the video would probably do the job!"

The tour kicks off in early May in Brisbane before taking on Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide; all the details of which you can find in theGuide.
