More Diesel More Diesel

Back in October, popular Aussie rocker Diesel dropped his seventeenth solo album, Bootleg Melancholy, and took it on the road in March.

Not content with playing seven gigs across the country in March and April, Diesel has announced another string of tour dates in support of Bootleg Melancholy – this time more expansive.

For the Bootleg Melancholy tour, Diesel isn’t only set to play songs from the new album but also a set of Greatest Hits with his band or solo.

The tour begins at Adelaide’s Norwood Concert Hall on Saturday, 31 August, followed by venues in Elizabeth, Melbourne, Warragul, Hobart, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Bateman’s Bay, Canberra, Perth, Darwin, and wraps up at Caloundra’s Playhouse Theatre on Friday, 13 December. You can find all the dates and venues below.

Fans can buy pre-sale and general tickets to Diesel’s upcoming tour via his website, with the pre-sale beginning at noon AEST on Thursday, 11 July. The general sale opens at noon AEST on Monday, 15 July.

In addition to announcing the Bootleg Melancholy tour dates today, Diesel has unveiled the music video for his latest single, Remember My Love, which was shot by his daughter Lily. On the music video, he said:

The music video for Remember My Love was shot by my daughter Lily Lizotte and edited by Blake Fraser, who worked on the multi-award-winning Patricia Moore series. For the video, I thought it would be a good fit to return to where I remember writing most of the song, which is down by the nearby ports where I spend a lot of time decompressing. With a wide-open horizon leading west, the sunsets are always vivid.

Remember My Love is about “not getting stuck in a moment,” Diesel explained. “In part, I'm speaking to myself, a reminder that one must be at peace to some degree to be able to give solace to others,” he added. “It's also a mantra that in times of despair I've tapped into, just the idea of being loved can snap me out of spiralling down.”
