Diesel Announces 'Forever' 2024 Australian Tour

Australian rock music icon Diesel is hitting the road in early 2024 in support of his new solo album, Bootleg Melancholy, out tomorrow (13 October). While previewing new songs, Diesel also promises to perform the hits you know and love.

To commemorate the tour, Diesel is beginning his run at the Avoca Beach Theatre in New South Wales on Saturday, 13 January, followed by Adelaide’s Dunstan Playhouse on Saturday, 24 February, the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne (1 March), Subiaco’s Regal Theatre (22 March), the Heart Theatre in Margaret River (23 March), a very special show at the Sydney Opera House (12 April), and ends at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Saturday, 13 April.

Tickets to all Forever Australian tour dates go on sale on Thursday, 26 October, at 9 am AEDT via Diesel’s website. However, if you’re a Diesel member, you can access pre-sale tickets from Thursday, 19, until Sunday, 22 October – sign up to his mailing list here.

“After recording and releasing two albums in a pandemic, it feels great to be releasing this new album,” Diesel said about Bootleg Melancholy. “I’m not sure what normal is, but it feels great to be still doing this with others around me. It’s always inspiring for me to see the excitement of people, especially as the recording process starts out as very insular, in this case, a one-man journey.

“It’s always a challenge to put into words what something sounds like, but I feel like there are a lot of influences going on, probably more than any record I’ve made, but somehow it feels the most cohesive at the same time.” You can pre-order/pre-save Bootleg Melancholy here.

Diesel added, “It’s always exciting bringing a song into the live realm. A lot of times, I want to record it again after touring it! It’s also like bringing new friends into the fold with old friends. And I’m most excited to feel the reaction from the audience with the new songs; it’s always a ‘butterflies in the stomach’ kind of feeling - but I thrive on that.”
