DEM MOB are renowned for the way that they electrify audiences. Their live act encapsulates a multi-faceted range of emotions - it is uplifting, solemn, energetic, inspirational, urgent. And they have just announced their first run of shows for the year.

Consisting of Jontae Lawrie, Elisha Umuhuri, Matt Gully, and Basso Edward, the Pitjantjatjara / Yankunytjatjara hip-hop collective originally hail from the APY Lands. They released their first track on streaming platforms in 2021 - 'Still No Justice,’ a coruscating attack on structural racism and the ghastly rate of Aboriginal deaths in custody. DEM MOB made history as the first group to rap in the Pitjantjatjara language.

The group has since wowed audiences at BIGSOUND and at Primavera Pro. They have also won several South Australian Music Awards, including Best Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Artist, Best Regional Artist, Best Hip Hop Group, and the prestigious Emily Burrows Award.

DEM MOB took to social media to unveil their first tour of the year. “We ready to DIP! Heres some dates you can catch us during our first tour of the year! Let's go, starting this week in SA!” they wrote on Instagram.
