Earlier this month, Delta Goodrem announced a one-off show at the Sydney Opera House in celebration of her second album, Mistaken Identity, turning 20 this month.

Due to extraordinary demand, a second show was announced today: Goodrem will now perform at the iconic Sydney venue on Monday, 14 April, and the additional date of Tuesday, 15 April.

Celebrating 20 years of her chart-topping second album, the follow-up to Innocent Eyes, tickets to both shows are available now via Delta Goodrem’s website.

Upon announcing the show two weeks ago, the Born To Try singer wrote on Instagram: “Here goes!!! A very special Mistaken Identity show is coming to Sydney and London next year! A night of celebration together, bringing you the 2004 nostalgia, the untold stories and… justice for Electric Storm,” she teased.

Today, she added, “Sydney your tickets are on sale now!!! 20 years of Mistaken Identity at the Sydney Opera House. AND a second show added on April 15th for all of you who missed out. I see you. Can’t wait to put this show together and relive this album with you all.”

Mistaken Identity played a crucial role in Goodrem’s career trajectory. Much of the album, especially the track Extraordinary Day, was inspired by her battle with cancer.

Goodrem, at #1 in Australia with her debut album Innocent Eyes at just 18, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She kept her darkest days private and spoke out when she was in cancer treatment and then in remission.

The album contains the hit singles Out Of The Blue, Almost Here, Electric Storm, and the title track. Goodrem will perform those songs live with “reimagined arrangements” and tell the stories behind the songs.

The Mistaken Identity shows promise to be more than a concert, and they will showcase Goodrem’s triumph and artistry.

She said of the album’s anniversary: “Mistaken Identity was a challenge and a triumph… a mark left on me that I honour and treasure and am reminded of to this day. Happy Anniversary to all those who keep the album close to your hearts and resonate with those songs in ways that blow me away.”
