Promoters make statement
The promoters of the Western Sydney dance festival Defqon.1 have broken their silence on the death of a 23-year-old man at their festival over the weekend.
Victorian James Munro died in hospital after attending the festival, with police indicating that he had taken “three pills” early in the day.
The festival's promoter Q-dance have issued a statement, which they say will be their only comment on the incident.
“Last Saturday at Defqon.1 Festival, a patron known as James Munro died following the event in Penrith,” they wrote.
