Heavy rock icons Deep Purple have this morning announced an Australian tour as we continue to be spoiled for legendary artists in the near future.
Promoted by Chugg Entertainment, Deep Purple – who've sold over 100 million albums worldwide and spawned anthems such as Black Night and Smoke On The Water – will have Journey for company.
The current Deep Purple line-up features Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey, which has been the format since keyboardist Airey joined in 2002, while drummer Paice has been in the band since their 1968 formation.
Journey are a slightly younger endeavour, having formed in 1973 and offering classics such as Don't Stop Believin' and Anyway You Want It. They world tour last year was one of the biggest around the world and they played to almost a million fans. Showing no signs of slowing down, they'll be sharing the stage with Deep Purple across Australia and New Zealand.
