"The guy smashes out creative quicker than we can make ourselves a coffee.”
Renowned music publicists Deathproof have enlisted two new team members from the Australian creative landscape to offer up new services.
Remote Control Records PR whizz, lecturer and writer Kate McCabe joins co-founders/all-round legends Emily Kelly and Bec Reato alongside designer Dean Reeve, who has unofficially worked for Deathproof since its inception five-and-a-half years ago and helped shape their image.
Having worked with some of best local, national and international acts over the years, music PR will remain a priority for the team, but there’ll now also be offering social media management, design services, on-the-ground services and more for bands as well as brands.
“We’ve had our eye on employing Kate for years now but our careers never seemed to align in a way that would allow us to work together. We are stoked to finally have this talented all-rounder in our corner,” Kelly said.

“We’ve been working unofficially with Dean for five years but his work with the big guns kept him thoroughly occupied,” Reato added. “Dean has finally had the poor sense to join us officially which is great because the guy smashes out creative quicker than we can make ourselves a coffee.”
