Last chance to get on the AWME bill

The deadline for artists who wish to showcase at the 2014 Australasian World Music Expo have an extra few days to get their applications in, with the dealine extrended to next week.

Artists will need to submit by next Friday 9 May if they want to perform at the renowned conference, which is regarded as Australia's premier world and roots music showcase.

AWME, held in November, began in 2008 and has proven to be a great stepping stone for artists to make their mark on the world stage. Perfomers who showcased at last year's event such as Sydney-based soul singer Ngaiire and the huge collective that is Melbourne Ska Orchestra found success overseas in the wake of AWME - both will be performing at Glastonbury later this year among other events.
