Three shows this August!
MC and lyricist Dave East will tour Australia for the first time this year.
The Harlem native, who took a classic ‘90s New York sound and added his own unique style to it, will perform at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on August 18, before stopping by Melbourne’s 170 Russell on August 19 and Sydney’s Metro Theatre on August 20.
East got his start in 2010, dropping a series of successful mixtapes before signing to rap legend NAS’ Mass Appeal, which put him on the world stage and led to collaborations with Mary J Blige, Fabulous, Pusha T, Jadakiss, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, T.I. and more.
He also recently featured in Hulu series Wu-Tang Clan: An American Saga, portraying Methodman.
Speaking with Vibe back in January about what 2022 would bring, East revealed: "Me and Styles P, we’re about to let Beloved 2 fly. I got an album I did with Araabmuzik. I got an album with Mike N Keyz and an album with Budda Da Future and Grandz, so I got like three or four different projects all produced by those producers like how I did with Harry Fraud… and then my next solo with Def Jam/Mass Appeal probably [dropping] first quarter. February or March."
