Mountain music hits the highway.
After teasing the country with a handful of singles, psychedelic folk duo Datson Hughes have a new EP to share called Whispering Highway.
The pair of singer-songwriters are launching the release with an extensive national tour, which will kick off with a show at Phase 4 Records in Queensland 18 Mar and carries through late May.
Annette Hughes, one-half of the line-up, has described Whispering Highway as an example of what people used to call "mountain music". "Made by people who lived up in the hills, in the backwoods; people who often made their own instruments, and certainly made their own rules and their own fun."
