In fresh news from the Bluesfest camp, Grammy-winning neo-soul artist D'Angelo's touring band has been announced, as he gears up to head down under later this month.

D'Angelo will be bringing along a set of esteemed musicians to back him this Bluesfest, as well as its coinciding sideshows, with Christopher James on drums, Kendra Foster on vocals, Jesse Johnson and Isaiah Sharkey on guitar, Rocco Palladino on bass and Bobby Sparks on keys.

Bluesfest Touring have also outlined the support acts for a slew of their Bluesfest sideshows — get ready. 

Iluka will be supporting Allen Stone in Sydney, with WILSN supporting in Melbourne. Adam Eckersley Band will join Blackberry Smoke, Eagle & The Wolf will join The Blind Boys Of Alabama in Sydney, The Lachey Doley Group will support Lucky Peterson and Woodlock will support Elle King.

Lord Huron will have Texture Like Sun support in Melbourne, while Riley Pearce will support in Sydney. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats have invited All Our Exes Live In Texas to open their shows, while The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band featuring Rick Vito will have Victor Martinez in Sydney and Harry Healy in Melbourne supporting. Nahko And Medicine For The People will have Yirrmal in Melbourne, Shakey Graves will have special guest Jerry Joseph in Sydney, Rhiannon Giddens will have Monica Weightman in Melbourne, and The Residents will share their stage with Victor Martinez in Sydney and Sky Needle in Melbourne. Victor Martinez will also join Taj Mahal in Sydney, while Project Collective Ska have been chosen to support The Selecter in Sydney. St Paul & The Broken Bones will have Alice Terry support in Sydney and WILSN in Melbourne, while The Wailers will have Cam Kennedy DJing in Cairns and Cera Kymarni in Perth. 

Finally, Steve Earle & The Dukes have announced Kahl Wallis in Cairns and Vintage Trouble have announced DJ Pierre Baroni in Melbourne and FBi DJ Stephen Ferris in Sydney.
