Perth trio Dan Cribb & The Isolated have given a classic Neil Diamond a punk update, premiering the track with The Music today ahead of its release on Pee Records this Friday.

Cribb and co (drummer Brennan Pagels and guitarist Scott Connor) have given Diamond's Cracklin' Rosie a new take to celebrate its 50th anniversary. 

The track started coming together back in 2018 while the group were tracking their song Run Away with producer Troy Nababan. 

"Sorry, Mr Diamond. We love you," said Cribb. "The real hero here is Troy Nababan."
