The promising young Belgian dies age 26
Belgian alt R&B artist The Child Of Lov has died age 26, following surgical complications.
UK newspaper The Independent has confirmed that Lov's manager has released a statement about the performer's passing.
The statement began: “On behalf of the family... I must announce that Martijn Teerlinck, aka Cole Williams, aka The Child Of Lov, aka Sun Patzer, is no longer with us."
It went on to point out that Teerlinck had struggled with illness throughout his childhood, quoting the singer as once saying, "I have seen too many hospital beds."

The statement also quoted Teerlinck further about his health issues: "[It] makes you realize death is always near, for anyone. And what a wonderful thing life is and how grateful we should be."
The Child Of Lov was signed to Domino Recordings imprint Double Six, and his self-titled debut released in March featured collaboration with Blur's Damon Albarn (on the track One Day) and Doom (on the track Owl).
