Voodoo-blues master CW Stoneking has been in the States for a hot minute and has been nailing it, this week playing the stunning and iconic Ryman Theatre in Nashville as support to Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.
Guess what, another bluesman has noticed. Leon Bridges gave props to Stoneking on Twitter for Gon' Boogaloo's Good Luck Charm, telling him he was "tooooooo cold wit it", to which Stoneking replied, "I could see you doing a good rendition of this with a male vocal quartet". Bless.

The exchange marks a successful European — and now US — stint on the road for Stoneking and his band, who will soon play Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco alongside Chris Isaak, Cyndi Lauper, Mavis Staples, Conor Oberst, Steve Earle and many, more.
