Cut Copy Debut Album In US Top 100

Melbourne band join fellow locals Empire Of The Sun and Sia in the US charts this week

Melbourne's Cut Copy followed their top twenty local album chart debut of Free Your Mind with an entry into the US Albums Chart at 98 this week.

The new album also entered the US Dance/Electronic Albums Chart at six and at 17 in the US Alternative Albums Chart. Their previous album Zonoscope peaked at 46 in the States in 2011 while 2008's In Ghost Colours got as high as 167.

Expat singer-songwriter Sia managed an entry in the US Hot 100 this week as her Beautiful Pain collab with Eminem charted at 99. It's lifted off Eminem's current US number one album The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

Australia's Empire Of The Sun also find their most recent single DNA jumping up the US Dance Club Songs Chart, this week moving from 12 to eight.

New Zealand's Lorde continues to be the dominant Antipodean in Stateside charts though, her Pure Heroine holding at number eight in its sixth week (it peaked at three). She also has three entries in the Hot 100, Royals remains number one for a seventh week while Tennis Court sits at 86 and Team at 88.
