"We have made the extremely difficult decision not to proceed."
Crowded House have been forced to call off this Sunday’s show at Gateway Lakes in Wodonga due to extreme weather.
A statement released from Live Nation confirms that the venue is “unfit for use” due to “severe flooding in and around the event precinct”.
“The safety and wellbeing of our patrons, staff, and performers is paramount to us and with current conditions and the very challenging weather forecast for coming days, we have made the extremely difficult decision not to proceed,” promoters said.
“Every effort has been made to find an alternate location; however, logistically and with the forecast conditions, we are unable to produce the event.
“We thank the City of Wodonga, suppliers, and stakeholders for their tireless efforts in working with us to explore every option to reschedule. We thank the thousands of fans who purchased tickets and supported this event. All patrons will be refunded in full.”
Crowded House’s Dreamers Are Waiting run continues in Sydney tonight before the music legends take on Canberra this Friday and other venues across the country before wrapping in Perth at the end of November (all dates below).

The tour is celebrating their latest album, Dreamers Are Waiting, which claimed Best Adult Contemporary Album at the ARIAs.
The release is their first studio album in over a decade, following on from 2010's Intriguer, and debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart last June.
The Music reviewer Liz Giuffre noted that Dreamers Are Waiting “is both familiar and new”.
“The album is a collection of little three-minute (ish) marvels – lush, whimsical and interesting,” she said.
“There’s also the gentle comfort that so much of the music during this time has brought when we didn’t quite know what else could do it. It's a perfect cocktail of escapism and whimsy.”
