Plus Indie-Con Australia's 2019 keynote speaker revealed.
The 2019 AIR Awards nominees have been unveiled, with some of the country’s best emerging and established acts making the cut.
Courtney Barnett and Gurrumul are both nominated in three categories, while Confidence Man, Emily Wurramara, Laura Jean and more also score multiple nominations.
The awards ceremony will take place at Adelaide’s Freemasons Hall on July 25, during Indie-Con Australia conference, with organisers today unveiling this year’s keynote speaker.
Taking place across 25 – 26 July at Lot Fourteen, Indie-Con Australia 2019 will “explore synchronisation and music publishing, video and gaming, mental health in the music industry, the future of the label, and insights into China”, while offering “opportunities for advancement in professional and business development skills, one-on-one networking” and more.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Helen Smith, Executive Chair of IMPALA and Mom+Pop co-owner and co-president Thaddeus Rudd, with the full program expected in May and general admission tickets on sale now.
