A coroner has confirmed suspicions that the 2015 death of Australian musician Connor Tolson was murder and not an accident.
It was initially believed that Tolson, who was a drummer in Melbourne band Riders Of Sin, died in an accidental fire in a bungalow at his mother's Malvern East home.
However, as Herald Sun reports, coroner Audrey Jamieson said an autopsy has confirmed Tolson had died before the fire started.
"I form the belief that an indictable offence has been committed," Jamieson said.
Jamieson concluded that bruises found around Tolson's neck were caused by another person and that the fire was a deliberate act.

Jamieson added the likely suspect is Tolson's older brother James who suffers from severe mental illness and was found asleep in a neighbour's yard following the fire, however no charges have been made.
Tolson's brother reportedly has no recollection of the incident and is receiving treatment for his illness.
Tolson's father and founder of Rampant Releases (Not Drowning Waving, These Future Kings, Scrap Museum), Bill Tolson, spoke outside the Coroner's Court today.
"Connor was an amazing young boy," he said.
"He was gifted and talented. He really had everything going for him.
"I am relieved these findings have been made public. It’s tragic circumstances which I don’t want to elaborate on."
