Chappell RoanChappell Roan will be represented in Animal Planet’s annual Puppy Bowl – a game that accompanies the Super Bowl every year.
Each year, groups of puppies play at an indoor model stadium, with commentary on their moves. Since its debut in 2005, the Puppy Bowl has raised awareness about adopting pets from shelters and rescuing abandoned animals—all dogs featured in the program are from shelters.
This year’s match once again airs on Super Bowl Sunday – Sunday, 8 February. Team Ruff and Team Fluff will compete against each other, with a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Chappell Bone already stealing hearts.
According to the Puppy Bowl website, Chappell Bone shares personality traits with her namesake. She “loves the spotlight and shines in social moments both on and off the field. Lively and full of character, she’s the life of the party and a fan favourite in the making.”
Chappell Bone was adopted from Little Dog Rescue in St. Cloud, Florida. She’ll compete in the Puppy Bowl alongside 150 dogs from 72 shelters across the US, Puerto Rico and the British Virgin Islands.
