US comedian and actor Mike Epps has confirmed he will be coming to Australia for his first ever run of stand-up shows here.

Epps is probably best known for his many movie appearances - Next Friday, Friday After Next and most recently, The Hangover and The Hangover III, but he's also a veteran of the US stand-up scene. He came to prominence when he performed during the US Def Comedy Jam tour in the '90s, as well as his appearance on HBO's Def Comedy Jam.

The comic will be here in May for four shows in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne and tickets are available from Wednesday 5 February.

Epps' tour is the second big comedy tour announcement for Australia in the last seven days - Dave Chappelle confirmed his first ever Aus appearances last week.
