More Coldplay More Coldplay

It’s unsurprising that pre-sale for Coldplay’s one-off show in Perth this morning was met with “extraordinary demand”, and the enthusiasm from fans across the country has resulted in a second date being added in WA.

The band will now perform their record-breaking Music Of The Spheres show at Optus Stadium on November 19 too, joined by Tash Sultana and Thelma Plum.

Tickets for the November 19 will go on sale tomorrow, May 16, with Live Nation noting that there won’t be a pre-sale and that all tickets for the new event will go on sale to the general public at 10am (AWST).

They have also confirmed that a limited amount of tickets will be released for the November 18 show, which will see support from Thelma Plum and Amy Shark.

“The reaction to Coldplay coming to Perth as part of their Asian tour has been phenomenal,” WA Deputy Premier Roger Cook said.

“It’s fantastic news that there will now be two concerts because it will ensure even more people from WA get to see Coldplay’s amazing live show.

“The stars are shining again on Western Australia. This is going to be a massive weekend to remember.”

A limited number of $40 Infinity Tickets will be released for both shows at a later date. Coldplay release Infinity Tickets for every show to make the Music Of The Spheres World Tour “accessible to fans for an affordable price”. They are restricted to a maximum of two tickets per purchaser and must be bought in pairs (which will be located next to each other).

The Music Of The Spheres tour, which kicked off in Costa Rica’s San José on March 18th 2022, and has progressively made its way around the world, is one of the most progressive for accessibility.

The band's ninth studio album Music Of The Spheres was released in 2021 and was an epic pop symphony. While not hitting the commercial highs of their previous albums, it spawned the massive hit My Universe with BTS as well as the ten-minute epic Coloratura. One of the first new albums to take full advantage of Apple Music's spatial audio mixing, the album is a sonic feast.
