Club 77 has today revealed the resident DJs and guest selectors who will define the sound of the venue throughout 2023.
As an undisputed icon of Sydney club culture, Club 77 has handpicked some of the country's best tastemakers to play at the venue week in week out or sit in residence for a month to curate a line-up of guest DJs.
Now Boiler Room Alumni and Sydney legend Barney Kato alongside Planet Trip head honcho Mike Who lead the newly appointed resident DJs. They are joined by two of the brightest faces in Sydney's underground Evie and Reenie. The four DJs will play on a rotating basis across the club's program.
On Friday nights, residents Deepa, Ciara, Wavyrager and Jhassic will kick the weekend off in style.
Every Tuesday you can catch resident DJ Raffi Lovechild and friends digging through soul, funk, afro, latin, Brazilian, world, disco and more. On Thursday's 77's flagship slow-mo night Tempo Comodo will continue to see Phil Smart play with some of the country's finest slow groove selectors.
The restructuring will also see the club hand over its programming duties over to a resident guest DJ to curate Saturday line ups all night. The new project kicks off in March with Dameeeeela who has selected the likes of Nina Las Vegas, DJ PGZ, Kilimi, Crescendoll, Tyaka and HALFQUEEN to join her throughout the month.
