Celebrating the 15 year anniversary of their debut album Bliss Release, Australian alternative rock band Cloud Control have announced a national tour kicking off this upcoming May and June.

The Blue Mountains band soundtracked an entire generation of 2010s folk lovers with their prolific record Bliss Release. Capturing the band’s signature sound through lush harmonies and genre-bending psychedelic-folk sound, the band’s original members Al Wright, Heidi Lenffer and Ulrich Lenffer, will reunite with founding bassist Jeremy Kelshaw to perform the album in full throughout May and June for the first time in over a decade.

“Making music with mates and family has always been the heart of what we’re about, and having the chance to perform these songs again with our brother Jez back on board is so special, and something we hadn’t counted on being possible,” the band said in a press release.

Bliss Release is the album that cracked the world open for our band. We love what we created with this record. It’s a time capsule and a friend. If it also means something to you, we want to share the love collectively with everyone who wants to lean in with us.”

Bliss Release made notable waves in 2010, receiving AIR’s Independent Album Of The Year, an fbi.radio SMAC Award and ARIA nominations for tracks Gold Canary and There’s Nothing In The Water We Can’t Fight. Cloud Control’s allure was on full display at staple Australian festivals like Laneway Festival, Meredith and Splendour In The Grass, further establishing the band as a mainstay in Australian music. From support slots for Supergrass, Vampire Weekend and Weezer to relocating completely to London for an extensive tour across the US and Europe, Cloud Control have worked tirelessly over the 15 years since their debut, and are ready to bring it back home.

As part of the band’s commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness, they have partnered with FEAT.’s Solar Slice touring initiative, which will invest $1 of every ticket sold into an indigenous-led biodiversity regeneration program on Lungtalanana (Clarke Island).

With the tour announcement comes the release of a limited edition 15th anniversary pressing of Bliss Release via Mushroom Music on May 30th, marking the first ever Australian vinyl pressing ever. The pressing will feature two environmentally conscious options: a black biovinyl and a multicoloured recycled vinyl, which is available for pre-order now.
