Immersive and unique cinematic film festival CinefestOZ has unveiled its 2016 program, continuing a proud and commendable tradition of showcasing the best in Australian film.
The festival will run from Aug 24 over four days of big-screen magic, with 68 venues and spaces opening their doors to invite audiences and VIP guests alike, offering a plethora of experiences for people from all walks of life with over 110 film and event options.
The growth of the festival has seen a solid climb in the amount of patrons return each year, as well as nurturing the creative souls of Australia's independent filmmaking scene.
In addition to the cinematic fun times, the CinefestOZ will also feature multi-award winning novelist, playwright, television writer, screenwriter and lyricist Ben Elton, Logie-winning actor Lincoln Lewis, one of Australia's most-celebrated actors Magda Szubanski and many more. The events will be taking over space from the heart of Busselton to event and screening places within and around Bunbury and Margaret River.

Audiences can bring some sparkle to their step in the glitz and glamour of the Film Prize Finalist red carpet premieres to join the Film jury in viewing The Death And Life Of Otto Bloom, Girl Asleep, Jasper Jones and Spin Out. The winning film will receive a $100,000 film prize.
The jury will consist of acclaimed Australian filmmaker Gillian Armstrong, producer Sue Taylor, cinematographer Garry Phillips, actor and director Damian Walsh-Howling and actress Emma Booth. After receiving an unprecedented number of entries to the Film Festival for 2016, the jury certainly have their work cut of for them.
