Veteran Professional SadmanTM and Emo Game punchline Chris Carrabba has revealed that he is reviving defunct third-wave emo luminaries Dashboard Confessional.
Getting a little introspective on Twitter at the weekend, the tattooed troubadour and former Further Seems Forever frontman mentioned that Dashboard was being brought back to life "slowly", but that he is nonetheless "excited" about the band's future, "whatever that may be".

Whether this is a brief reunion thing - the band are booked for September's RiotFest, in Chicago - or a committed return to active duty isn't clear, but, with Carrabba's newer project (Americana/folk outfit Twin Forks) still fighting fit and busily, it may not be time just yet to expect a whole lot from the resurgent heartstring-pullers.
Dashboard Confessional started out as a solo project for Carrabba post-Further Seems Forever, and quickly grew out into a full band concern, with breakthrough 2003 album A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar and lead single Hands Down being the catalyst to fleeting mainstream interest mid-last decade.
The band's last new release was 2009's Alter The Ending, which was followed in 2011 — the same year Carrabba formed Twin Forks — by a re-release of seminal 2001 LP The Swiss Army Romance.
