UPDATE: Chris Brown Ends Nine-Hour Standoff With Cops After Allegedly Pointing Gun At Woman

TMZ is reporting that Brown has now been arrested for an assault with a deadly weapon. During the standoff earlier in the day, Brown reportedly threw a duffle bag out of his window containing two guns and drugs. The felony carries a maximum sentence of four years and will see Brown in custody with the police.

No stranger to tussles with law enforcement, singer Chris Brown has surrendered after a nine-hour standoff with LAPD at his Los Angeles property.

As News Limited reports, police were called to his house at 3am local time after Miss California Regional 2016 Baylee Curran accused Brown of pointing a gun at her during a violent argument.
Police waited for a search warrant for hours — during which Brown took to Instagram video to state that police were targeting him "every three months" — with Curran telling TMZ that she was admiring a piece of jewellery when Brown and his entourage allegedly "went nuts" and Brown told her to "get the fuck out".
Brown says in his video rant, "When you get the warrant or whatever you need to do you’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing. You idiots."
Brown is now co-operating with police and has opened up his home to police officials for searching. Several people were escorted from the mansion, with musician Ray J also present at the home.
Ray J also took to his Instagram to share a video where he said, "I’m not happy with how things are handled and how people can take a false story and blow it up into something way more than what it should be. You got just positive people around and you look outside and it’s like a war zone for no reason."
