It’s an exciting time for fans of the Australian rock band Chocolate Starfish, with a new, free documentary about the band officially posted on YouTube.

The 34-minute documentary is titled Between The Cheeks: The Unfinished Story of Chocolate Starfish. It follows the band’s incredible three-decade-plus career, which has included an abundance of touring and hit releases such as You’re So Vain, Mountain, and Four Letter Word.

Having developed a devoted following, the band have reached the Top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart and secured a reputation for putting on unforgettable live shows.

Between The Cheeks contains “rare archival footage and candid interviews,” exploring the band’s many triumphs and challenges, as well as the heartbreaking loss of a founding member.

On their Facebook page, Chocolate Starfish added, “We have always felt we are the people’s band, as it was all of you who have maintained our stamina and given us a reason to believe and continue as a band, when others didn't.

“From the highs to the lows, and everything in between, the last 30 years of your band is all here in this documentary, to reflect, reminisce and to rejoice in what we have all managed to do together.

“This is our story, but it is also your story, and we hope you get that when you watch it.”

You can watch the documentary below.

This week, Chocolate Starfish will embark on their All Fired Up Classic Hits Tour, which they previously said will be “choc-full” of fan favourites alongside their latest single, a cover of the Pat Benatar classic, All Fired Up.

The tour is regional, beginning at Caloundra’s Events Centre, Kings Theatre, on Friday, 3 July. From there, the band heads to Bundaberg, Wyong, Belmont, Tweed Heads, Bateman’s Bay, Thirroul, Perth, Bunbury, Geelong, Launceston, Hobart, Albury, and Bendigo, with the shows concluding at Frankston’s Arts Centre on Saturday, 17 October.

Pat Benatar isn’t the only artist Chocolate Starfish will cover across the All Fired Up tour. Fans can also expect them to perform classics by Carly Simon, INXS, and Meat Loaf—all in the band’s signature rollicking style. Tickets to the shows are available here.
